VIDEO: The Knife Attack in Vanadzor Has Been Solved

On April 6, at around 7:30 AM, the police department of Taron received a report from a medical center that a 50-year-old man had been admitted with a penetrating stab wound to the chest. Law enforcement officers who arrived at the hospital identified the man and prepared the necessary documentation. It was impossible to take a statement from the victim as he was undergoing surgery. The nature of the injuries suggested that he had been stabbed. It needed to be determined who did it and under what circumstances.

Criminal investigators promptly undertook measures to uncover the case, which led to information indicating that during a dispute over an alcohol proposal at a shelter on Moscow Street in Vanadzor, the victim had been stabbed by a 56-year-old man living at the same address. The suspect was taken into custody by the police department of Taron on the same day. The knife was seized. A forensic examination has been ordered, and the investigation of the criminal case is ongoing.
