Dear Women, Life Begins with You and Continues with You: Armen Sarkissian's Message

The President of the Republic of Armenia, Armen Sarkissian, has sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of Motherhood and Beauty Day. According to the Public Relations Department of the President's Staff, the message states:

“Dear women, this year, I warmly and lovingly congratulate you on the occasion of Motherhood and Beauty Day. My special congratulations, well wishes, and words of gratitude go to the women doctors and healthcare workers who, day and night, provide not only medical assistance but also the care and compassion of a relative to patients in medical institutions, especially during these challenging times.

I also express my gratitude to all women—whether police or military, rescue workers or service members—who risk their lives and health for all of us during this period based on their job and calling, to those whose husbands nearly do not come home from hospitals, services, and workplaces while fulfilling their duties.

The woman, especially the Armenian woman, has always been the pillar of the family, bearing the heaviest burdens, responsibilities, and challenges. Now, when many are forced to stay at home, a woman's burdens and responsibilities have increased due to organizing daily family life, remote education for children and grandchildren, economic challenges, and more. However, the Armenian woman has never been discouraged and has always managed to remain strong, believing that any difficulty is temporary.

Dear ones, spring is always filled with expectations and hopes. Perhaps in this year’s festive congratulations, the external shine and form are a bit more subdued. But believe that our love and gratitude towards you never change—when a father is moved by his little daughter's laughter, when a young man's heart trembles at his beloved's smile, and when, regardless of age, we miss our mother and wife, and see their continuation in our grandchild.

Because, dear women, life begins with you and continues with you. Take care of yourselves, stay healthy, be happy, and live long.”
