30 Thousand Dollars Stolen in Vanadzor During Robbery; Police Make Breakthrough
On September 27 of last year, around 7 AM, unknown individuals attacked the owner of a house in the vicinity of Andranik Zoravari Street in Vanadzor and forcibly stole approximately $30,000.
On the same day, a criminal case was initiated under Article 175 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia, which pertains to robbery. Law enforcement agencies took necessary actions to solve the crime; however, efforts did not yield results for a considerable period.
During the investigation, extensive operational and investigative measures were undertaken, leading to the identification of the individuals involved in the crime. On March 30, acting on operational information received by the Bazum Police Department, officers from the same department, along with personnel from the Lori Regional Police Department and the Hrazdan Division, detained a 31-year-old resident of Vanadzor on Kostanyan Street in Hrazdan, suspected of committing the robbery. Charges have been filed against him, and he has been arrested.
Efforts are underway to identify and bring the other individuals involved in the crime to justice. The investigation continues.
