Can't Underestimate the Power of Speech: Pashinyan Responds to Critical Question
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's first question during a live Q&A session pertained to his party members in the parliamentary faction. The questioner suggested that some members of the ruling faction are simply speaking without engaging in any substantial work.
In response, Pashinyan recalled that when he was an opposition MP, he was also accused of merely talking and not doing anything significant. He emphasized that one cannot underestimate the power of speech, as the parliament is fundamentally a place for exchanging ideas.
Pashinyan further noted that the best assessment of the parliamentary majority was given in Azerbaijan, when they held similar elections following Armenia's elections. He highlighted that the purpose of those changes in Azerbaijan was to create a younger and more effective parliament, which he connects to the changes in Armenia's parliament.
