Parliament Rejects Bill on Gathering Information About Calls and Movements

The Parliament has rejected the bill on gathering information about calls and movements. A total of 65 deputies voted in favor of the decision, with no votes against or abstentions.

Before the vote, the leader of the 'Enlightened Armenia' faction, Edmon Marukyan, announced that they would not participate in the voting, a call echoed by the 'Prosperous Armenia' faction. As a result of the election, it became clear that they also did not participate in the vote, leading to the rejection of the bill.

Before the vote, Lilit Makunts, the leader of the 'My Step' faction, noted that she welcomes the opposition's calls for unity but suggests that these calls be turned into action. 'I ask and urge you to vote in favor and remind you again that the rate of coronavirus spread is high and requires urgent actions,' said Lilit Makunts.
