VIDEO: Trump Bans Entry to the U.S. from All European Countries

U.S. President Donald Trump has banned entry to the United States from all European countries, with the exception of the United Kingdom. The entry ban will take effect for a period of 30 days starting from March 13, the American leader stated in a televised address to the nation. This measure is being implemented to reduce the risks of the spread of the coronavirus.

It is noted that exceptions will apply to American citizens who will undergo special examinations before entering the country. Trump also emphasized that the outbreak of coronavirus in the U.S. is not a financial crisis, but that the U.S. authorities will take all necessary economic measures. “This is not a financial crisis. It is just a short period that we will overcome together as a nation and as a world,” said the state leader.

To provide additional support to American workers and businesses affected by the coronavirus, Trump announced that low-interest loans will be made available. He also directed the U.S. Treasury Department to postpone tax payments without interest and penalties for certain categories of citizens and private businesses that have been impacted by the coronavirus.

The American leader noted that the United States is closely monitoring the situation in China and South Korea, adding that as the situation improves regarding the spread of the coronavirus in those countries, Washington will reassess the current restrictions.

Recall that yesterday the World Health Organization announced a pandemic of coronavirus around the world.
