VIDEO. Panic in Ejmiatsin as Coronavirus-Infected Individual Attends Large Celebration

Auroranews has received numerous reports from residents of Ejmiatsin regarding a state of panic in the city.

"Everyone is taking their children home from school, and even school directors are sending students back. We are in a state of panic because we know that a citizen infected with the coronavirus had traveled to Italy for vacation, returned, and participated in his son's engagement ceremony with around 200 attendees, interacting with a large number of people. Following the engagement, just a few days later, he attended another wedding ceremony. It turns out that only after all this has it become clear that he is infected with the coronavirus," stated one of the concerned citizens who contacted us.

According to information from residents, the engagement ceremony of the citizen's son took place at the "Paradise" restaurant complex in Ejmiatsin.

Auroranews has been in contact with the head of the information department at the Ejmiatsin municipality. In the video, we also spoke with Susanna Vardanyan, the director of the school named after Ernekian in Ejmiatsin, to understand the situation at the school and whether they have also sent students home.
