Direct: There are 18 confirmed cases of coronavirus infection, says Pashinyan
Currently, there are 18 confirmed cases of coronavirus infection in Armenia. The infections have been recorded among already isolated individuals, which, according to Pashinyan, is good news.
The first patient, who tested positive for the virus, has retested today and the result was negative. According to the Prime Minister, if the second test result is also negative, it can be considered that the patient has recovered.
The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to the first infected Armenian who arrived from Iran, as the individual followed the doctors' instructions and sought medical help upon experiencing fever.
He noted that currently, there are 200 people in isolation, which is positive, but it is not possible to be 100% sure that the entire contact circle has been identified. For this reason, Pashinyan urged residents of Ejmiatsin to self-isolate, especially those who have somehow come into contact with participants of the known engagement, and additionally, to urgently seek help from authorities in case of fever.
