«Ժողովուրդ». «Կոշ» Prison Director Summoned for Questioning
«Ժողովուրդ» newspaper reports that, according to its sources, Lyova Baghdasaryan, the head of the «Kosh» prison, has been summoned for questioning by the Special Investigative Service.
The questioning is reportedly related to a corruption case that has been brought against him. As it is known, on September 18, 2019, the National Security Service arrested Lyova Baghdasaryan on charges of bribery, but he was later released.
In an interview with the newspaper, Lyova Baghdasaryan's lawyer, Grant Ananyan, stated that a former convict had inquired about purchasing Baghdasaryan's car at a car wash and left some money in the vehicle.
It should be noted that the preliminary investigation body does not rule out that Lyova Baghdasaryan may also be summoned for questioning in connection with the case of the attack on Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
Prime Minister Pashinyan announced during a press conference in Kapan that he has been summoned as a victim in the case of the attack that was carried out against him in 2010 at the «Kosh» penitentiary. At that time, Lyova Baghdasaryan was the head of the prison.
