70 Percent of $100,000 Needed for Angelina's Surgery Raised, Minister Says
The 70 percent of the $100,000 needed for the surgery of 5-year-old Angelina, who has a congenital heart condition, has been raised, with the remaining $30,000 to be provided from the state budget. This was announced by the Minister of Health of Armenia, Arsen Torosyan, on his Facebook page.
"I was informed that 70% of the funds for little Angelina's heart surgery have been raised. The remaining $30,000 will be provided from the state budget by my order. The surgery will take place at the Norq-Marash Medical Center within the next 1-2 days. This type of surgery will be conducted in Armenia for the first time. I wish good health to the miraculous little one," Torosyan wrote.
Earlier, AuroraNews.am covered the case of little Angelina. Born with heart disease, specifically cardiomyopathy, her health has recently deteriorated sharply. The little girl is currently at the Norq-Marash Medical Center and is fighting for her life. She urgently needs a device called the "artificial left ventricle," which will be installed in Armenia for the first time. Angelina's father is a soldier, and her mother is pregnant, expecting the imminent birth of another child.
