New Dismissals in the Ministry of Defense: Minister Says Farewell to the Head of Military Police
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, Artsrun Hovhannisyan, wrote on his Facebook page: "The Minister of Defense D. Tonoyan held a consultation at the Military Police today, during which issues concerning cases of death during military service, their prevention, the current operational situation, and matters related to the Military Police were discussed.
At the beginning of the meeting, Minister D. Tonoyan bid farewell to the former head of the Military Police, Major General Artur Baghdasaryan, after which several staffing decisions were made. Several heads of departments have been dismissed.
Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan has tasked the Deputy Head of Military Police for Operational Matters, Colonel Alexander Telmantsi Agajanyan, with temporarily fulfilling the official duties of Military Police Chief.
Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan has given strict instructions to the personnel of the Military Police and Colonel Alexander Agajanyan. In particular, the minister emphasized the critical importance of strengthening discipline and demanded a significant improvement in the quality of operational intelligence work.
