Urgent: Head of Military Police and Head of Psychological Support Department Dismissed
The President of Armenia, Armen Sarkissian, has signed decrees to dismiss the head of the Military Police, Arthur Baghdasaryan, and the head of the Armed Forces' Psychological Support Department, Aleksan Aleksanyan.
"Based on the proposal of the Prime Minister and in accordance with part 1 of Article 133 of the Constitution, as well as part 3 of Article 40 of the Law on Military Service and the Status of a Service Member, Aleksan ALEKSANYAN is dismissed from the position of head of the Psychological Support Department of the Armed Forces of Armenia," one of the presidential decrees states.
It should be reminded that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had approached the president with a proposal for the dismissal of the two high-ranking officials.
