Alik Sargsyan Says Goodbye to the Republican Party

The newspaper "Zhoghovurd" reports that former Chief of Police Alik Sargsyan has left the Republican Party of Armenia and decided not to engage in any political or public activities anymore. In an interview with "Zhoghovurd," the former police chief stated that he is disappointed with the current situation.

“Yes, I have left, there is no conflict, nothing happened, I just don’t want to engage in the party’s work; my age does not allow it, my health does not allow it, and my mood is not suitable either. I had decided this a long time ago. I have gone, written my resignation, and left. It was very normal, I said goodbye in a friendly manner, there has been no contradiction. Believe me, there was no confrontation and there cannot be. If there had been, I would be the first to speak about it. I had just decided this a long time ago,” he said.

At the same time, Alik Sargsyan appeared somewhat dejected and urged everyone to forget about him, indicating that he is tired of everything. “I don’t want anything to be written about me. These are rumors that are circulating, there is much falsehood, blackmail, and slander, and contradictory information is being published. I don’t know, I am tired of all this, of this slander, I am simply tired,” he added.

It is worth noting that Alik Sargsyan has also been charged in connection with the criminal case regarding March 1.
