Artsakh People Should Not Vote for Candidates Conducting Hostile Propaganda Against Armenian Authorities, Pashinyan
In Artsakh, the election results have always been more reliable than in Armenia. This was stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a broadcast on Public Television, while discussing the upcoming presidential elections in Artsakh.
“To say that elections in Artsakh could be dangerous is absurd. Holding democratic elections in Artsakh is further proof that Artsakh is a consolidated state, and speaking about the possibility of it being under Azerbaijan is also absurd. The Republic of Armenia considers itself the guarantor of Artsakh's security and the guarantor of the free expression of the Artsakh people,” emphasized the Prime Minister.
In response to a question regarding whether the Armenian authorities have sympathies and antipathies, Pashinyan said, “I have made it clear. The people of Artsakh should not vote for any candidate who conducts hostile propaganda against the legitimate authorities elected by the people of Armenia and incites interethnic animosity again. Speaking in such a manner and showing such an attitude towards the legitimately elected government is tantamount to showing the same attitude towards the people who elected and trust that government,” Pashinyan stressed.
