Armenian Chess Players Begin Competing at Aeroflot Open 2020

The chess tournament Aeroflot Open 2020 kicks off in Moscow. In the main subgroup of Aeroflot Open 2020, Armenia will be represented by Gabriel Sargsyan, Haik Martirosyan, and Shant Sargsyan. In Group B, Elina Danielyan, Lilit Mkrtchyan, Anna Sargsyan, and Davit Gevorgyan will compete, while Arthur Garagyozyan will participate in Group C.

Aeroflot Open 2020 will start on February 19 and conclude on the 27th. The main group of the tournament includes 74 chess players and will be conducted in a Swiss system format over 9 rounds. The prize fund for this tournament amounts to 140,000 euros.
