“We will make skyscrapers from your soldiers' skulls.” Threats made to the Russian Ambassador in Turkey
Russia's Ambassador to Turkey, Alexey Yerkhov, has stated that he continues to receive threats on social media against the backdrop of developments in Syria's Idlib province, according to ErmeniHaber.
In an interview with the Russian television channel Zvezda, the ambassador detailed some of these threats: “For example, among the threats I received yesterday evening and this morning are expressions like ‘We will make skyscrapers from your soldiers' skulls’ and ‘You will be held accountable for every drop of blood shed.’”
The Russian ambassador also noted that he does not take these threats seriously and is not worried about his personal safety, as he is well protected. However, he is concerned that this situation could negatively impact Russian-Turkish relations.
It is noteworthy that days ago, the ambassador had already mentioned receiving threats on social media. He reported receiving messages such as “Say goodbye to your life,” “No one will mourn for you,” and “It’s time to burn you.” Following these incidents, Turkish authorities have tightened security measures near the Russian embassy in Ankara.
