Golden Pelis to Be Auctioned Again on February 21
The Golden Pelis hotel complex located in Tsaghkadzor is set to be auctioned again. This information has been confirmed by the website of the Committee for State Property Management of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia. The auction for the buildings and movable property, which are state-owned, will take place on February 21.
The total area of the buildings is 19,758 square meters, while the land allocated for its use and maintenance covers an area of 1.38 hectares. The starting price of the property at auction is 7 billion 150 million 134 thousand 910 drams.
The family members of former customs service head Armen Avetisyan had submitted an application to donate the Golden Pelis hotel to the state on November 19, 2018, within the framework of a criminal case. On September 26, 2019, the government had approved a decision to accept the donation of the buildings with a total area of 19,758 square meters located at 34/1 Tandzaghbyur street in Tsaghkadzor, Kotayk province, as well as the movable property inside them.
The first auction was scheduled for December 2019 but did not take place due to a lack of bids. The starting price for the first auction was set at 7 billion 526 million 457 thousand 800 drams. If the auction does not take place, the starting price for the next auction will be set lower.
