Snowstorm on Goris-Sisian Road
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of February 12 at 20:20, there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads within the territory of Armenia.
The roads closed include the Ishkhanasar-Goris road in Syunik Province, the road to Amberd Fortress and the Kar lake in Aragatsotn Province, the Sotk-Karvachar road, as well as the Vardenyats and Jambarak mountain passes.
The road from the Sevan Peninsula to the village of Tsovagyugh is difficult to traverse.
There is a snowstorm on the Goris-Sisian and Sotk-Karvachar highways.
On the roads of Kotayk, Gegharkunik, Lori, Syunik, and Shirak provinces, as well as on the inter-community roads of Aparan and Aragats in Aragatsotn Province, there are patches of black ice.
Snowfall is reported in the Saravan-Zanger stretch, in the towns of Aparan and Ashtarak in Aragatsotn Province, in Hrazdan, Abovyan, and Charentsavan in Kotayk Province, in Vayk and Yeghegnadzor in Vayots Dzor Province, and in the regions of Amasia and Ashotsk in Shirak Province.
Regarding the Lars, information from the Emergency Situations Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in North Ossetia indicates that the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of transport. According to reports from the Crisis Management Center of the Russian Federation in North Ossetia, there are over 1,000 freight vehicles trapped on the Russian side.
