Death Toll from Coronavirus in China Reaches 1113

The number of deaths caused by the new type of coronavirus in China has reached 1113. This was reported by the State Committee of Health of China on February 12.

According to the updates from 31 provinces, there are 44,653 confirmed cases of coronavirus infection. The number of patients has reached 38,800, with 8,204 in serious condition. Meanwhile, 4,740 have recovered and been discharged from hospitals.

It is worth noting that the World Health Organization (WHO) has officially named the new Chinese coronavirus as Coronavirus Disease (COVID-2019). The WHO expects that it might take about a year and a half to develop a vaccine for the coronavirus.
