Around 300 Employees Evacuated from Singapore Bank Due to Coronavirus

Approximately 300 employees of DBS Asia bank's central office in Singapore have been evacuated following the confirmation of a coronavirus case among one of its staff members. This was reported by the Straits Times, citing an email obtained by the publication.

According to the report, at 12:55 PM local time (08:55 AM Yerevan time), employees working on the 43rd floor of the Bay Financial Centre Tower 3 received a notice about a confirmed coronavirus infection in their office. As a precautionary measure, they were asked to continue working from home. The office space has been disinfected.

The bank's management is currently identifying the individuals who had contact with the infected person. Notably, employees working on different floors of the bank did not receive any written orders regarding 'evacuation.' Starting next week, it is expected that all employees of the organization will receive personal protective equipment, including masks, thermometers, and hand sanitizers. The company will also provide employees the opportunity to have online consultations with medical professionals, as reported by RIA Novosti.
