US Has been Dreaming of Returning to Iran for 41 Years: Rouhani

The US wishes that Iran would turn back the clock by 41 years. This statement was made by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani at a rally held in Tehran to mark the 41st anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, as reported by Mehr.

According to him, the US wants Iran to return to a time 41 years ago, but 'we will not do that, because we see that the enmity of the US has manifested in various forms over the past 41 years.'

He stated that both diplomacy and resistance are necessary to confront the enemies. 'Martyr Soleimani was a general on the battlefield and a senior diplomat in negotiations. He accepted his fate while en route to negotiations with the Iraqi prime minister, rather than on the battlefield,' he noted. Soleimani did not seek war and instability in the region. He was an advocate for stability and security in the area.

It is worth mentioning that Iranian General Qasem Soleimani was killed on January 3 by a US airstrike near Baghdad International Airport.
