Results of the Road Police Enhanced Service: 42 Drivers Found to be Intoxicated
From February 3 to 9, the officers of the first battalion of the traffic police conducted an enhanced service in the capital, moving 214 vehicles to a secure area, of which 20 drivers were found to be under the influence of alcohol. The drivers of the other vehicles either lacked the necessary documentation or committed gross violations of traffic rules, endangering the lives and health of other road participants.
During the same period, officers of the second battalion of the traffic police conducted enhanced service in the regions, moving 52 vehicles to secure areas, with 42 drivers found to be intoxicated. Additionally, 2 vehicles were identified operating without license plates, 26 without a mandatory insurance contract, and 79 transport means were identified with tinted windshields.
On February 8, heavy snowfall was recorded throughout almost the entire territory of the republic. In connection with this, the traffic police carried out an enhanced special service in emergency mode both in the capital and in the regions. A total of 380 traffic police officers were deployed to ensure safe traffic and, in cooperation with staff from other agencies, assist drivers trapped in snowdrifts.
As a result, we are pleased to report that on February 8, no serious incidents with casualties or injuries were recorded.
