Nearly 11 Million People in Wuhan Tested for Coronavirus Suspicions
The testing of residents in Wuhan, a city of 11 million in China, is nearing completion. This was reported by the press secretary of the city committee, according to TASS.
“We have tested 99% of families. Our goal is to complete the efforts to identify individuals with suspicious infections by Tuesday,” he stated during a press conference.
The tests are being conducted to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.
According to the official, to rule out further transmission of the virus, doctors have checked all homes, hotels, public places, and more. Doctors have tested individuals multiple times in the same area or among the same group of people.
Latest data indicates that the number of victims of the coronavirus has reached 681.
