Italian Artist Depicts Coronavirus in the Field
A schematic depiction of the coronavirus has emerged in a field in Northern Italy. Artist Dario Gambarin has illustrated two stylized molecules with the Chinese word for "vaccine" and the Latin transcription for "coronavirus".
As Gambarin explained to TASS, he aimed to draw attention to the issue of the disease's spread. "This work is dedicated to the researchers and all the investigators engaged in the search for a vaccine," said Gambarin.
The land art piece occupies an area of 90 meters by 230 meters in a field owned by his family, where soybeans are grown. Gambarin uses a tractor to create his works. Previously, the artist painted a portrait of Greta Thunberg in a field.
