Russia Evacuates Citizens from Wuhan, Including One Armenian
Russia has evacuated 147 people from China, including a citizen of Armenia. This was stated on Tuesday, February 4, by Deputy Prime Minister Tatiana Golikova, according to TASS.
In addition to Russians and Armenians, those evacuated included Ukrainians, 10 citizens of Belarus, and three citizens of Kazakhstan. Golikova emphasized that none of the evacuees from China were infected with the coronavirus.
“I want to say and assure everyone that the citizens evacuated from Wuhan and Hubei are healthy. Our partners in the PRC do not allow anyone infected with the coronavirus or deemed suspicious to leave the country,” Golikova said.
All evacuees will temporarily stay in the Tyumen region, where they will be placed under quarantine.
