Hraparak: The Anti-Corruption Committee Returns Ara Babloyan and Arsen Babayan's Case to Prosecutor's Office
The newspaper 'Hraparak' reports: The Anti-Corruption Committee (ACC) initiated a case against former National Assembly President Ara Babloyan and the former deputy head of the staff Arsen Babayan based on a complaint filed by Arman Babajanyan, and on October 28, charges were brought against them for official forgery and assisting in the embezzlement of the Constitutional Court's powers.
On December 24, the Prosecutor's Office returned the case for further investigation, stating that the evidence presented did not substantiate the claims of usurpation of power and that the forgery charges were weak.
We have learned that the ACC, without taking any action, has again sent the case back to the Prosecutor's Office. They likely believe that the charges will be forced through, especially since Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has already announced that there has been an occupation of the Constitutional Court.
