Kobe Was a Wonderful Husband, Loving Father: Basketball Player's Wife Makes Emotional Post

The wife of legendary American basketball player Kobe Bryant, Vanessa Bryant, has spoken for the first time since the tragic death of her husband and daughter. She revealed that her family has been completely shattered since the accident.

“My girls and I want to thank the millions of people who have shown support and love during this difficult time. Thank you for your prayers; we definitely needed them. We are devastated by the loss of my beloved husband and daughter. Kobe was a wonderful husband and a loving father. Our beloved Gianna, a smart girl, wonderful sister to Natalia, Bianka, and Capri... There are no words to describe our pain. It’s easier for me to realize that both Kobe and Gianna knew they were very much loved. We are grateful that they were in our lives. I would give anything to have them here with us forever. They were joy that left us much too soon,” wrote the athlete's wife.

Vanessa Bryant also extended her condolences to the families of the other victims of the helicopter crash, stating that they share in the grief.
