Former Shakhtar Player Joins Ararat-Armenia
The current champion of Armenian football, Ararat-Armenia, has made a new addition to its roster. The club has signed 26-year-old Ukrainian defender Sergey Vakulenko.
Sergey has previously played for Ukrainian clubs including Shakhtar, Mariupol, and Arsenal Kyiv, among others. Before joining Ararat-Armenia, he was a player for the Ukrainian club Karpaty.
As of now, the top of the Armenian Premier League standings is led by Lori, which has 28 points. Both Ararat-Armenia, Alashkert, and Ararat have 27 points each. Shirak is in fifth place with 25 points, followed by Noah with 24 points. Pyunik has collected 20 points, Urartu 17, and Gandzasar-Kapan 14 points. Yerevan currently has no points.
