Government Begins Circulating Names of New Candidates for Constitutional Court Judges
According to the newspaper "Past," developments surrounding the Constitutional Court are acquiring new "hues" almost on a daily basis. The fact is that the authorities are openly declaring that they will do everything possible to remove the President of the Constitutional Court, Hrayr Tovmasyan, from his position, and also to "liquidate" the other judges of the Court.
Recently, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that the crisis created around the Constitutional Court would soon be resolved. Having yet to digest the mess created by Vahe Grigoryan and still not understanding what exactly he is doing at the Constitutional Court, apart from receiving a salary and writing lengthy and fiery letters, the authorities are now also embroiled in the issue of replacing the other members of the Court.
Information has reached the "Past" newspaper that the authorities have already decided internally to conduct a "casting" for the positions of the other seven judges of the Constitutional Court. Despite the clear statements from the Constitutional Court judges that they will not retire early and will not back down from the total pressures of the authorities, new specific names of candidates have begun to circulate within governmental corridors.
