The Armenian Embassy in China Maintains Constant Communication with Around 400 Armenian Citizens Residing in the Country

On January 29, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Avet Adonts met with the Ambassador of China to Armenia Tian Erlun. During the meeting, the parties discussed the situation regarding the spread of the new type of coronavirus in China.

Ambassador Tian emphasized the Chinese side's readiness to continue close cooperation with the Armenian side in addressing various issues arising from the coronavirus spread.

The interlocutors also extensively addressed the challenges faced by Armenian citizens in Hubei Province, China, and the steps to be taken to address these issues.

Deputy Foreign Minister Adonts informed that the Armenian Embassy in China is in constant contact with around 400 Armenian citizens currently residing and registered at the embassy in various provinces of China, seven of whom are currently in Hubei Province. The embassy is also taking steps to respond to the inquiries and issues of Armenian citizens within the limits of the possible.

Deputy Minister Avet Adonts also added that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and the Armenian Embassy in China continuously maintain communication with the Chinese government and other partner countries regarding the issue of the evacuation of Armenian citizens.
