Russia Today Correspondent Seriously Injured in Explosion While Filming in Syria
On Wednesday, January 29, a correspondent for Russia Today, Wafa Shabroun, was injured in an explosion in Idlib, Syria, as reported by RT’s Russian service.
“The filming crew was documenting the weapons stockpiles left behind after militants retreated from the town of Maaret al-Nuuman. Preliminary data indicates that one of the artillery shells exploded,” the report stated.
It was noted that the correspondent has been transferred to a city hospital in Hama and has sustained serious injuries.
