Lukashenko Grants Government Authority to Start Oil Negotiations with Kazakhstan
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has signed a decree granting the government the right to negotiate with Kazakhstan regarding the supply of oil and petroleum products. This information comes from the press service of the head of state.
With this document, the president has empowered the government to prepare a draft agreement and sign it if the parties agree within the established framework of the draft.
The report notes that Belarus "continues to diversify its oil supplies by exploring various geographical areas for the import of hydrocarbons and logistics." Minsk also recalls that the organization of oil supplies was discussed during Lukashenko's official visit to Kazakhstan last October.
