50-Year-Old Suspect in Assassination Attempt on 'Shshi Melo' Presents Himself to Investigative Division

Yesterday, on January 21, a 50-year-old resident of the village of Mets Sepasar in Shirak Province, Petros Sahakyan, voluntarily presented himself to the Abovyan investigative division of the Kotayk Regional Investigative Committee, as reported by shamshyan.com.

The news outlet notes that he is suspected of ordering an assassination attempt on Melik Manukyan, a former member of parliament better known to the public by the nickname 'Shshi Melo'. Manukyan is also suspected of being involved in a brawl and physical altercation in 2018 at a location belonging to him.
