Video: Over 40 cartridges and bullets found at the scene of Gevorg Kutoyan's death; a criminal case has been initiated

The former director of the National Security Service, Gevorg Kutoyan, was found with a Glock-type firearm in his residence. This weapon was obtained legally as part of an award, stated Arthur Melikyan, head of the Special Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee, during a press conference with journalists.

“There are numerous cartridges and bullets, and there are damages to the walls. We are currently conducting operations with Gevorg Kutoyan's wife and father at the scene. No other person was present at the site, besides investigators and operational staff. A criminal case has been initiated under Article 110 of the Criminal Code (leading a person to suicide, or attempted suicide through threat, cruel treatment, or humiliating personal dignity—editor's note). However, many theories will be put forward. It could be murder, or it could be a murder disguised as suicide,” he stated.

In response to journalists’ questions, Melikyan clarified that 30 to 40 cartridges and bullets have been discovered at the scene.
