Tribute Paid to Victims of Baku Massacres by Prime Minister

High-ranking officials of Armenia paid tribute to the victims of the Baku massacres. Today marks the 30th anniversary of the massacres of Armenians in Baku.

From January 13 to 19, 1990, tens of thousands of Armenians fell victim to a brutal massacre and were forcibly displaced in Azerbaijan's capital, Baku. After six days of atrocities against Armenians, the city with a population of around 250,000 Armenians was emptied of its Armenian inhabitants.
