I am Sad: Marcos Pizelli on Ending His Career in Armenia
Former midfielder of the Armenian national football team and player for Yerevan's "Ararat-Armenia," Marcos Pizelli, has clarified why he has decided to end his career.
“A year ago, I underwent serious surgery. But I began training again afterward. A month ago, while training in Brazil, I thought there were no issues. After returning to Armenia, I underwent another knee examination, after which it became clear that there were problems. "Ararat-Armenia" offered me to stay and receive further treatment, but I decided to end my career. I am sad because everyone knows how much I love Armenia,” said Pizelli in a video released by the "Ararat-Armenia" club.
Previously, the club's press service announced that Marcos Pizelli had ended his career. Due to an injury sustained during individual training in Brazil, Marcos underwent additional medical examinations in Armenia, revealing that the player would need surgery, which he declined, opting instead to retire.
