Wrestler Gevorg Mkheyan Becomes Silver Medalist at Takhti Tournament

The freestyle wrestling team has once again won a medal at the international competition in Iran, as reported by the federation. Gevorg Mkheyan, competing in the 70 kg weight category, secured a silver medal at the 40th edition of the Takhti Cup held in Tehran.

In the same weight category, Arman Andreasian won a bronze medal. Also receiving bronze medals were Khachatur Papikyan in the 74 kg category and Mher Markosyan in the 86 kg category. Armenian freestyle wrestlers are returning home with a total of 6 medals, including 2 silver and 4 bronze.

Just the day before, Arsen Harutyunyan had claimed a silver medal in the 57 kg weight category, while the bronze medal in the same category went to Mkhitar Jaburyan.
