Video: Alleged Moment of Ukrainian Boeing 737 Being Shot Down by Iran Surfaces Online

Iranian activist Nariman Qalib has shared a video on his Twitter account, depicting a strong light in the sky, which he describes as resembling a missile.

According to the activist, the video was provided to him by a source who managed to capture the moment of the alleged downing of the Ukrainian Boeing 737 by Iran. He mentioned that he cannot yet verify the authenticity of the video but requested to clarify the coordinates of the area.

The New York Times reports that the video may have been filmed from the village of Parand, located near Tehran. The coordinates of that location are: 35.489414, 50.906917. During the flight in that area, Ukrainian pilots lost contact and disappeared from the radar.

This information has been confirmed by independent experts from Bellingcat and the Conflict Intelligence Team.
