The Investiture of the Patriarch of Istanbul Will Take Place on January 11
The investiture ceremony for the Armenian Patriarch of Istanbul, Sahak II, will take place on January 11. Representatives from other episcopal thrones of the Armenian Apostolic Church, including the Catholicosate of All Armenians, the Catholicosate of Cilicia, and the Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem, will participate in the ceremony, according to ermenihaber.am.
It is also expected that representatives from the Catholic Church, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I of the Orthodox Church, and other denominations will be present.
The investiture ceremony will be held at the Church of Saint Mary Mother of God, the seat of the Armenian Patriarchate of Istanbul. Following the investiture, it is presumed that Patriarch Sahak II will be granted the honor of the crown by the Catholicos of All Armenians, Garegin II.
