500 New Elevators to Be Installed This Year: Hakob Karapetyan

The spokesperson of the Mayor of Yerevan, Hakob Karapetyan, writes on his Facebook page: “Considering the revenue collection results from 2019 in the capital, the Mayor of Yerevan, Hayk Marutyan, has revised the elevator replacement program, quintupled the previously announced volumes. Thus, this year, with community funds, 500 new elevators will be installed instead of the 100 that were previously announced.

During a regular administrative meeting at the mayor's office, Mayor Hayk Marutyan stated that during the replacement works, the problems and features that emerged during the replacement of the previous 20 elevators will be taken into account. Let me remind you that all the new elevators being installed are adapted for the use of individuals with visual, hearing, and mobility disabilities.”
