No Plans to Deploy American Military Bases in Georgia, Says Foreign Minister
No plans to deploy American military bases in Georgia are currently on the agenda. This was stated by Georgia's Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani during a briefing following a government meeting on January 9.
"Discussions regarding the deployment of U.S. military bases are speculative. This issue is not being considered," Zalkaliani said in response to a question from reporters about whether Tbilisi might consider allowing U.S. bases on its territory.
