Iran Considers Dialogue with the U.S. Impossible Before Sanctions Are Lifted

The Permanent Representative of Iran to the United Nations, Majid Takht-Ravanchi, stated that Tehran would not accept Washington's offer of cooperation as long as the United States continues to impose anti-Iranian sanctions. This was reported by RIA Novosti.

Earlier, the U.S. Permanent Representative to the UN, Kelly Craft, delivered a letter to the UN Security Council stating that the U.S. is ready to engage in negotiations with Iran without preconditions for the purpose of regional de-escalation.

Takht-Ravanchi referred to the U.S. proposal as 'incredible,' noting that any negotiations would be meaningless as long as the United States continues its hostile actions in the region.

According to Ravanchi, the sanctions imposed by Washington contradict the norms of international law.
