New Restrictions on Right-Hand Drive Vehicles in Georgia
Starting April 1, 2020, changes will be made to the technical inspection of vehicles with right-hand steering and those that have had their steering systems altered in Georgia, as reported by apsny.ge.
Specifically, drivers of imported right-hand drive vehicles will be required to maintain the steering wheel position; otherwise, they will not be able to pass the periodic technical inspection with modified steering mechanisms after April 1. According to the Land Transport Agency, this restriction will apply to right-hand drive vehicles that are registered for the first time from April 1, 2020. Vehicles registered before April 1, 2020, can continue to undergo regular maintenance without issues.
