Tehran-Kyiv Flight Shot Down by Iranian Surface-to-Air Missile: Bellingcat

A new version is circulating regarding the crash of the Tehran-Kyiv flight. The international investigative group Bellingcat has reported that, after analyzing videos of the aircraft's destruction, it concluded that the plane was shot down by an Iranian surface-to-air missile.

Following this, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that they have evidence suggesting the aircraft was hit by an Iranian missile. According to him, this likely occurred by mistake. It is known that 63 Canadian citizens died in this aviation disaster.

After Trudeau, a similar statement was issued by UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson. He also stated that there is information indicating that the aircraft was shot down by a surface-to-air missile, again likely unintentionally.

Earlier, American media outlets had also reported, citing sources from the Pentagon and US and Iraqi intelligence, that the aircraft was accidentally hit by an Iranian air defense missile. CBS News reported that radar captured the infrared trace of a missile launch, after which an explosion occurred immediately.
