Import of Poultry Products to Armenia from Two Regions of Poland Banned
In an effort to prevent the entry of highly pathogenic avian influenza recorded in the Wielkopolskie and Lubusz regions of the Republic of Poland into the Republic of Armenia, a decree from the head of the Armenian Food Safety Inspection Body has imposed a ban starting from January 10 on the importation from these regions of live birds (of all types), all types of poultry products, raw materials (feathers, down), commercial and incubation eggs, meat-and-bone meal, feed, supplements (except for synthetic and chemical supplements), polymer and cardboard packaging boxes and inserts to Armenia.
This restriction has been implemented based on information published by the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) regarding the disease.
