Difficult Road Conditions Across Armenia, but Lars is Open

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, as of January 9 at 18:40, there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads within Armenia.

The Vardenyats Pass is closed for trailer trucks and impassable for other vehicles. The Sotk-Karvachar road is impassable for trucks. Snow is reported in the towns of Gavar and Chambarak in the Gegharkunik Province.

As per information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the North Ossetia Emergencies Ministry of Russia, the Stepanavan-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles. Drivers are advised to use winter tires only.
