Norair Panosyan, the protégé of Hrayr Tovmasyan, will celebrate the New Year in freedom

The examination of the motion for pre-trial detention for Norair Panosyan, the protégé of the Constitutional Court President Hrayr Tovmasyan, has been postponed, with the next court hearing scheduled for January 8, 2020. This was stated by Panosyan's lawyer, Tigran Atanesyan, in an interview with NEWS.am.

"If there is a fair and objective investigation, the investigator will reject this motion. The sessions are lengthy, lasting 6.5 hours. We believe that the motion is clearly unfounded and there are no grounds for detention," he said.

It should be noted that Panosyan has been charged under part 2 of Article 308 of the RA Criminal Code, which pertains to the abuse of official powers resulting in serious consequences, and a new motion for his detention has been submitted.
