65.5 Million Drams Awarded Again at the Municipality

The Deputy Mayors of Yerevan, the press secretary, Arthur Meshchian, and all community leaders were awarded 840,000 drams in December. The total fund for awards in December amounted to approximately 65.5 million drams.

Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan also awarded the staff and leadership of the city hall in December, and all community leaders of Yerevan received awards as well. This information was reported by Tert.am based on the official website of the Yerevan City Hall.

The mayor did not award himself, but 120 employees of the city hall were rewarded, including the four deputy mayors: Hrachya Sargsyan, Hayk Sargsyan, Sergey Harutyunyan, and Tigran Virabyan, the chief architect Arthur Meshchian, the secretary of the staff Vahe Khachatryan, two advisors to the mayor, the press secretary Hakob Karapetyan, heads of various departments including the department of information and public relations, external relations, legal affairs, culture and tourism, public education, secretariat, organizational oversight, and social security, with each receiving 840,000 drams.

The deputy of the department head Andranik Muradyan was awarded 759,000 drams, while the mayor's assistant Karen Harutyunyan received 600,000 drams. Additional department heads and assistants were also awarded.

The lowest awards were given to four experts from the faction, each receiving 219,000 drams. According to the mayor's directive, 56 million 189 thousand drams were allocated from the budget for the awards. However, at the discretion of the secretary of the city hall staff Vahe Khachatryan, all heads of the administrative districts of Yerevan were awarded 840,000 drams each, for which 9 million 240 thousand drams were also allocated from the budget. In total, 65 million 429 thousand drams were spent from the budget in one month to reward city hall officials and community leaders.
