Snow Falls in Gyumri, Black Ice Reported; Road Conditions as of 21:00

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of December 28 at 21:00, there are closed and difficult-to-pass roads throughout the territory of the Republic of Armenia.

The Vardenyats Pass (from the Gegharkunik region) is closed for cargo vehicles and difficult for passenger cars to navigate. The Sotk-Karvachar road is difficult for all types of transport.

Black ice is present in places on the Vardenyats Pass (from the Vayots Dzor region), on the Goraik-Zanger road, and on the highways leading to the town of Hrazdan in Kotayk province.

Snow is falling in Gyumri, Shirak province.

According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of North Ossetia in Russia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.
