There Are No Obstacles, Hrayr Tovmasyan Can Be Arrested: Rustam Badasyan
According to Hrayr Tovmasyan, the criminal case opened does not pertain to actions arising from his status as a judge, but rather to alleged abuses during his tenure as Minister of Justice. Therefore, there is no need for Constitutional Court permission for criminal prosecution, and he does not enjoy immunity. This was stated today during a conversation with journalists by the Minister of Justice of Armenia, Rustam Badasyan.
In response to a reporter's question about whether Tovmasyan could be arrested if the case pertains to his years as a minister, Badasyan stated, “There are no obstacles; he can be arrested.”
